The Xbox Series X is equipped with a six-core, eight-thread processor from the Jaguar cluster and 12 GB of GDDR5 RAM, which is more than in the previous version and can be compared to the PlayStation 5. The graphics card has also been improved. Instead of the GPU available in the previous version, this one uses the new AMD chip with 40 Radeon computing units. It also has a 1TB solid state drive – twice as much space as the PlayStation 5.

On the one hand, it’s worth noting that the Xbox Series X offers more choice when it comes to hard drives. You can choose between two options: 1TB and 2TB. The PlayStation 5 only offers one option – a 1TB hard drive, which can be swapped out for a solid-state drive if you want to upgrade your console.
When it comes to USB 3.1 connectivity, the Xbox Series X will easily outperform its competitor by offering DisplayPort 1.4 support, which allows 4K video to be transferred at up to 120Hz. PlayStation 5 only supports HDMI 2.0a video, which makes it impossible to stream 4K movies at more than 60 frames per second.
So the Xbox Series X takes the lead when it comes to hardware!
In terms of performance, both consoles can be considered powerful enough to play in Full HD (1080p).
